2019 Holiday of Trees, Wreaths & Centerpieces

The Taneytown Heritage & Museum Association is sponsoring this annual event in the lobby of the NWSB Bank, A Division of ACNB Bank, Taneytown office, located at 222 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown. Local individuals, businesses, and organizations decorate an item in any of the categories as outlined below and donate all decorated items for a silent auction that benefits the Taneytown History Museum.
The Holiday of Trees, Wreaths, and Centerpieces will open Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at NWSB A Division of ACNB Bank, 222 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD. It will be open until Saturday, December 14th. Local individuals, businesses, and organizations are invited to decorate an item in any one or all three categories and donate the decorated items for a silent auction benefiting the Taneytown History Museum. The decorated items will be on display and voted on by the general public.
Public viewing, voting, and silent auction hours are:
- Mondays – Thursdays, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Fridays & Saturdays, 9:00 am – 12:00 Noon
- Saturday, December 14th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Prizes will be awarded in each category of:
- 4-Foot Trees
A collection box will be next to each item, and monetary donations will be used as the voting system. For example, 1 penny = 1 vote, 1 quarter = 25 votes, $1.00 = 100 votes. The item in each category with the most money in the collection box will be awarded a prize on the closing date. Certificated will be awarded to the second and third place votes by the public in each category. All monies collected in voting boxes will benefit the Taneytown History Museum u less otherwise indicated.
Voting will conclude at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14th. Raffle prize winners will be drawn immediately following the presentation of awards. The silent auction will conclude at 11:00 am, December 14th. Winning bids will be announced at 11:30 am. Winning bidders must pick up and pay for their items between 11:30 and 12:30 on December 14th.
- Platinum: $1,000
- Gold: $500
- Silver: $250
- Copper: $100
- Bronze: $50
Sponsor’s names will be prominently displayed on-site and in the event program. Gift certificates are also welcome and most appreciated.
