Here’s who’s making a difference.

There are a lot of great people in Taneytown.

Some make it into the paper.
Some work hard behind the scenes.
Some quietly help others.
Some never ask for thanks.
And some just smile and make people happy.

Each is deserving of special attention
for making our city a better place.

Kevin MacLeod

Kevin MacLeod

Kevin MacLeod has made a major impact on Taneytown, our state, our country and our world. A Program Director at the Silver Oaks Academy just outside Taneytown, Mr. MacLeod has been a strong and compassionate mentor for many young men in this program. His dedication to immersing his students in the community through volunteer work is a testament to his character. Through their service, Mr. MacLeod and “the boys from Silver Oak” have time and time again helped make Taneytown a better place. Thank you.

Cari and John Stottlemire

Cari and John Stottlemire

Comparatively “new” to Taneytown, Cari and John Stottlemire have given enough time to our community to be true Taneytownians. Always there when something needs to be done, these residents of Carroll Vista serve on multiple community committees. And those pumpkin people who swarm in in October? Yep, Cari shows them the way. Thanks, Cari and John, for making Taneytown a better place.
